Inquiry With Nic

WALT Develop ideas, skills and concepts in drama


  1. Focus - become the character, placement, patience. Sometimes.
  2. Accept Ideas and build on them. No.
  3. Levels - make it interesting for the viewer. No.
  4. Space - balanced, using a mixture of all the space, don’t bunch up. Yes
  5. Finish on time. Yes.
  6. Be Spontaneous. I don't know.
  7. Centre stage - main idea is always in this position. I don't know. 
  8. Contribute and participate. I don't know.






Evaluation:

1. What are you most proud of? I am proud of my moves for my tree & my sound. Why? Because I think they are very good.

2. What did you find challenging? The thing that challenged me the most was the sounds for the meteor. Why? Because I keep on getting muddle up with my meteor sounds.

3.  My next ‘Get It’ goal is? To focus more. Why? Because I am a little silly in my group.

Grass hopper tennis sample

WALT: improve our small ball skills like catching, throwing, and hitting.

Description: We have been participating in a tennis programme with Big John (John Salisbury) from Tennis Manawatu. He has taught us some tennis skills that help with controlling and hitting the ball. To reflect on how we are going with the tennis skills we have learnt. We will share this during our Student Led Conference. Week 8. The World.

Task: complete the rubric with targets to show your reflection. Make a comment to the questions below?

Evaluation:
1.     What are you most proud of and why? I'm proud of my hitting because I am using all of my stringth to hit the high in the sky & when it comes down the other team will miss the ball so I can win.

2.     What challenged you the most and Why? The slice the cheese one because I keep on missing the ball.

3.      Next time, what is a goal you can work towards? To practice at home so I can be better at slice the cheese.

Writing Sample

WALT: inform.


Writing: States are three things that make matter. The three things are solid,liquid and gas. Solid is a lot of atoms that not have much space to move around. Liquid has les atoms then solid. Gas has way les atoms then solid that's because gas is air.  You can't see the atoms that's because they are so tiny that you need a super microscope to see the atoms.

I think it would be a good idea to work on managing your time better so you are not rushing to get the last bits on your post. Aim for the time given Ross, you can do it if you try. Ebony.

WALT: Show Integrity



Task: make a panoramic photo showing integrity 

Description: Integrity means doing the right thing when no body is looking. I used the 360 app to take the photo. To showcase our understanding of this terms value of Integrity. We will share this during our Student Led Conference. Week 7. The World.


Like for example like me putting away my mums dinner in the dishwasher with out her telling to.


Evaluation: Wow I think I did a good job at my post. I think I deserve a pat on the back.

Science Sample

WALT: show our understanding of how energy works.




DESCRIPTION: We have been learning about energy. Make a video (no longer than 30 seconds) about our understanding of energy. i.e. States of matter, Potential and Kinetic energy, Newtons Cradle or forms of energy like Radiation, Convection, Conduction.To show what we know about how energy works, to share during our Student Led Conference. Week 6.

Evaluation: Wow I think I did awesome at my science sample I think I did it so good that I think I desreve to have a pat on the back.

READING SAMPLE

WALT: We are learning to rote learn (learn off by heart).

Purpose: We are making mnemonics to help us learn our spelling words.

Process:  We made sentences out of our spelling words to help us remember how to spell each word.  We want to get 10/10.  If we make them funny it helps us to remember them.

Learning:  We learnt what mnemonics are and how they can help us.  

Evaluation: Wow I think I did grait at my post.

MATHS SAMPLE

WALT: solve problems by using the double & half strategy. Hi I'm Ross & this is a video made on show me. I made this post to show people how good I am at math's. I learned that fives & tens are much more easyer when you use them together. In my video I used 18x5= Then I half the 18 & put a 10 9x10=90 so that means 18x5=90. Jett's feed back: good Ross it's good I thing you can do better.

Success Criteria:
quick change of pace
quick change of direction
move/ pass to a space



Include a photo, photo story/ comic strip or movie showing how you achieve these things.

Write a reflection for each of these headings...

1. What are you most proud of? When I was going fast with pasing the ball to my team.
2. What challenged or does challenge you the most? The caching because I think the ball might hit me in the face.
3. What are your next steps? Put my hands in front of face so I can catch the & it does't hit my face.

Get a buddy to give you some feedback and feed forward.Ha Ha Ha! Funny but that is true
And you are very competitive and I think you can do all of those things good job.


Published piece of writing



When I was entering the the dark black cave my legs were wobbling like jelly. When I was in the cave and I looked up I saw a hole. in it there was something round. I moved and I had to go through a little tunnel it was a tight fit but  I got through I stoped. I looked left there was very small gap that indeed to go through and I ducked. I crawled but I was to big. I let the other people go I went back I saw the other people. I was scared. I was at the back I followed the rest  I got out of the cave some people wanted to go back in the cave so they went back into the cave.

Weet bix tryathlon

The challenging  part of the weet bix tryathlon was the swimming becuase I was going slowly & it was very hard.  The most enjoying part of the tryathlon was the bounce tunnel & it was so cool when I got to the end there was losts of kids there. I learnt that I need to xasice more. Next time I well have to lrean to stop on my bike & hop on my & push my self at the same time.
