Et Reo

Every Monday me and my te reo group come to the matt to learn about māori.

Today we were learning about the name of food in māori and putting it in a video to sharing it with you.

Feedback/feedforward: I like the way that you got the food in your hand. Next time you could put down your food.Kai.

Evaluation: I think putting the food in my hand was great. Next time I could speak more clearly.

The Digestive System

We have made a short movie to share what we have learnt about digestion this term.
Success Criteria
Our movie has:

*lots of interesting details about digestion that our audience won’t know
*clear explanations about each stage of the digestion process (talking clearly and loudly, using specific science vocabulary)
*clear images
*humour/interesting detail to keep the audience engaged

BIG IDEA: Digestion is all about breaking food down into tiny bits so it is small enough to travel around in your blood to feed your body and give it energy.

Feedback/feedforward: I really liked your movie I like the way you and your group have been really clear. Your need to slow down your photos so we can read them.#jett.

Evaluation: me & my group have been working really hard on this movie for 6 days I think. I do think I need to put my voice in the movie.

Writing Activity

WALT: Select words carefully to impact our audience. In our writing we are putting in adverbs, verbs, adjectives, precise nouns, nouns and simile's.

It's not nice to be small. It's a bit nice that cind old people love to use me and them showing the kids how to use me. Then someone grabs me they put me down on a pin they grab a long steal stick. Then they wacked me with all their might "Ouch Wach it.". I was flying so high I was like an airplane then I was going down like a meteorite to earth and then I was skidding towards a mini hole. I was leaning to go into it then score hole in one. It's not so bad being a golf ball.

Feedback/feedforward:I like the story and simile next time you could describe more of the ball and the golf stick.

Evaluation: I think I do need to talk about the ball even more and the golf stick info.

Maths Portfolio sample

Me and my class are doing maths and putting some of our learning on our blogs for our math's and my maths group was given a big paper to each of us to do question from a small peace of paper called Rebelsport.

The strategy I used was partitioning and I am in stage 5 for my math's.

Feedback/feedforward: I think you should not fold your post so you can see tidy writeing. I think that you should use a ruleler for your two lines going down and up.

Evaluation: I think I'am to good for partitioning I think I need to on a new goal.

Phenomenal Word Jar

For our tic tac toe in Poutama every one does a tic tac toe for our learning and my goal is expanding  vocabulary. Everyone in poutama has their own goal to work on they are comprehension and expanding vocabulary.

My tic tac toe activity is phenomenal word. I have to write juicy in my writers note book and write what the mean.

Feedback/feedforward: Maybe put more words. Rebekah.

Evaluation: I think I should put more words and work on track more.

Catch Me If You Can- Defense

Description:
Every week we learn about skills and movement that will help us play sports. This term’s focus has been around defense. We made a video showing some of the goals we have been practicing. I have highlighted the thing I think I have done well YELLOW and one thing I would like to work on PINK.

Body:
WALT: Defensive skills and movements
Success Criteria:
Body Movement
  • Weight on balls of feet
  • Feet shoulder width apart
  • Knees flexed
  • Concentration and eyes on ball, head and eyes up
  • Push hard off outside foot and go forwards to attack pass
  • Quick small feet, stay on balls of feet
  • Arms within confines of body
  • Take feet to ball
  • Land with a SBP
Intercepting
  • Body angled to see player and ball
  • Anticipate pass and player movement
Restrictive Marking
  • Meet player as they start towards the ball/where they want to go
  • stay close to the attacking player
  • Head and eyes up, arms close to body to avoid obstruction/contact
  • Angle body so attacking player is ‘pushed’ away from where he/she wants to go
  • 0.9m from ball carrier

Evaluation: I thimk my defences & my blog is cool and I hope it stays that way.

Feedback/Feedforward: you can make the link work and tell people what the pink and yellow.
